Help.. Changing rims on BMW

If I have new rims I want changed on my new BMW, do you know if BMW car dealers do this, or should I take it elsewhere?

Will it also ruin any warranties etc?

I am a complete noob so please ignore my noobie replies.

Depends on the relationship with your dealer, they might be happy to do it for free, or they might charge you a small fee and I think it is better if you ask them directly.

As for warranty, it's a rather touchy subject. Having rims would not void your warranty on the vehicle, but if the rims were the cause of the part (eg. suspension) failure, then bmw could refuse warranty claims on the part.

You have no probs with replacing rims..

Have never heard of anyone having their warranty voided because of rim replacements..

BUT...if in doubt, just ask your BMW dealer.

I dont think you need to go to BMW dealer.
Lot of tyres shop can swap the rims for you. cheaper anyway.
I always did that.

http://www.spinningwheeltyres.com.au/ . This shop is very good, not only supply wheels, tyres but also repair damaged wheels. They do a very very good job.

Make sure your insurance policy covers aftermarket wheels. If you're in Brisbane, I can recommend Wayne Park automotive at Milton for the install, tyre fit and alignment, they were very professional too. Last time I checked, the dealership wanted $160 just for the alignment, whereas most shops charge half this.
