Charge pipe question. PLEASE HELP
You can ridicule me as much as you'd like. All I ask is for enlightenment as well. I have an 09' 335d(North American version) I'm preparing for a JR 2.8 tune. Which includes deletes,ATM exhaust,a wagner evo 1 ic and turner intake. I've read that I need a charge pipe. AA or VRSF brand. My question is: all I can find are charge pipes designed for relocated intake, which I haven't done or is that what an aftermarket intake is? A relocation?
Like I said- you can call me every name in the book, but please, help me out. I can't move forward until I figure this out |

I assume you mean these? the standard pipes are prone to leaking boost hence need to upgrade especially when adding upgraded parts and tuning

Yes. Evo 1 utilizes stock clips. All over the forums, everyone is referencing "charge pipes" so here I was, looking for the actual pipe when it's the connecter that's the problem. Solution is an intercooler(ATM) that not only utilizes a more secure connection, but also, provides those connections. Although the ic is a couple hundred more than wagner, you end up saving $ by not having to pay for the upgraded ATM turbo outlet, elbow kit, sales tax and shipping fees. At least I think I'm on to something. Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm about to cancel my wagner ic order and get an ATM
