Mirror adjustment

This is a bit annoying ,

Everytime I switch the car off , the passenger side side mirror switches to a random position , and doesn't go back to my setting when i start the car , I have to re adjust it manually.

The seats + driver side mirror stay the same , no movement.

I've tried to on and off the go back to last position option in the settings menu...

Could this be a faulty motor in the mirror ?

Are you talking about the mirror glass, or the complete mirror/ folding assembly? I believe there are known faults/ fixes for both issues.

I had experienced something similar, but not sure if this is the same thing.
Whenever I reverse to back up and park, the passenger side mirror glass tilts down normally as it typically does as part of the PDC. And when I put it in park, the mirror is supposed to adjust itself back to where it was before, however I started noticing it hasn’t been doing that and ends up in a random position which forces me to readjust it.

Now I figured out that if the mirror adjust slider switch is set to the left (driver side adjust) this passenger side mirror random position adjust occurs. But if I leave the slider switch set to the right (passenger side adjust) the mirror remains in the position where it’s supposed to be so I just keep the switch to the right. I’ll test it again just to be sure.
Hopefully this will work for you.

This is not a "fix". With the switch set to the right the passenger mirror glass does not tilt when reversing to park you lose the function unless it's set to the drivers side.
