Upgraded LED headlights constant flicker lights not working
My appologies if ive posted wrongly but i am fairly new to all this. i bought my 330d last year and have recently developed this problem of the lights not working and constantly flickering. I would really appreciate some help. Tom

I'm assuming you had halogens from the factory. They are controlled with a PWM signal to control voltage/brightness.
You need to turn off PWM manipulation. That is what is causing the flickering. If you don't know what Pulse Width Modulation is, it is essentially turning the voltage source on/off very rapidly to control output. You cannot see this manipulation with a halogen bulb since it is not instant on like an LED is. Look in the coding section on how to raise PWM duty cycle to 100% so there is no manipulation. Or add the xenon option code and default the car so it removes PWM all together. |
