E90 tire size troubles

I have a 2011 e90 335xi

I'm currently running 225/40/17 all around

I'm looking to get 245/45/18 ET16 rims all around.

Any problems with this set up?

What width? Et16 is very aggressive and likely won’t work especially since you’re LCI but need to know the wheel specs.

Yes, many problems

1) your current size is too small, should be 225/45/17
2) those tyres are both too wide and too tall for an 18” Tyre. Width is not so much a problem but IS a problem in combination with the height.
3) offset doesn’t mean so much without RIM width, e.g. 8J/9J etc.

Best thing to start with is: https://www.willtheyfit.com/ and start with OEM Tyre sizes, so 225/40/18 OR 225/45/17

Good luck !

Funny how the new members try to reengineer their cars. I would suggest researching offsets and tire specs for your car.

"Hi I'd like to increase the section width, profile ratio, AND wheel diameter simultaneously. Oh and offset is 20mm less than stock." what could go wrong
