Who knew? :-)
Don't worry about the burbles....leave it just the way it is.

Once you flash the MHD stage 1 the burbles will be back in FULL effect! Lol

Charge pipe arrived in the mail yesterday. There is a big spring in the box. I have not seen this in any of the install videos I watched.

What is the spring for and where is it installed?

This is the one I purchased:

That spring is for the blow off valve. It's seated inside. I've never seen one come in pieces before, but I have seen them send extra springs with differently ratings. You can change the internal spring to adjust what psi the blow off valve unit releases pressure. If you can post a link to the BOV you chose we should be able to ascertain what spring is inside your unit now if you can't.

It's a brake hose, how will this affect the turbo boost?
Oops, I just saw all your posts lol. But you seem to have stumbled upon the answers of all the questions you had.

Hose/fitting is one piece.

It is a brake hose but its part of the same vac system that operates the wastegates.
If you follow the end of that hose towards the front of the car, you'll see it goes and T's off into another 2 hoses (n54) that go to the right side of the car into 2 tanks, and then to the boost solenoids then to the wastegates

If you liked those mini burbles, try the golf tee mod. Look at your left side muffler, you'll see a small vac tube. If you detach that hose and plug it with a golf tee or a screw or some other type of plug, it'll lock the exhaust flap open even at low RPM

Can't we do the same thing with the MHD. Isn't there a setting to keep that flap open?

Bingo, you are correct. I found this right before I read your reply:

https://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=537601

"1. The piston looking thing is an alternate BOV flange in case you had another kind of BOV you wanted to install.
2. I believe the spring currently installed is rated for up to 18lbs, and the second spring included is rated for 20 or 22lbs. I have the the first spring installed and am running JB4 With Pump BEF map 1 which is ~17psi."

Does anyone know the size of the vacuum line running from the throttle body to the charge pipe? I'd like to replace it while I am doing the install.

I feel pretty confident I can do the charge pipe upgrade myself. However, if I get 1/2 way thru and for reason I can't install the new one, can I drive the car to a shop without the old charge pipe installed?

You shouldn't do that.
I can't imagine you'd have any issues at all. Honestly. It's seriously no more difficult then installing the DCI's. The line is the same as all of the other vaccum lines, 1/4 inch I believe.

When I flashed the MHD stage 1+ last weekend I got a cyl 6 misfire at the top of the rpm band. I read the code, cleared it, and it came back. I knew what it was. Parked the car until tonight. I installed new Delphi coils and NGK 1 step colder plugs (it was comforting to see all 6 index 12 injectors sitting in there, I knew they were there from the PPI I had done, seeing is believing!) and took it out for some miles of smiles. It's 25 degrees here, bone dry. I drove around to let the tires warm up a bit and hit the highway. My car is a weapon. I haven't taken the traction control off yet and it's freaking rowdy. I love this damn thing!

Nice! Plugs/Coils are next for me and while I have the cowl out I will do the charge pipe. My garage is very small, no heat, it's cold here so it may be a while before I can get outdoors to do it.

I did replace the side marker lamps today:

I want a lift.....badly. The ceilings are low (9 ft) and I'd have to give up attic space to put one in a bay. One day though.
