After 97000 miles my torque monster continues to amaze

Yesterday we went 300 miles on a tad more than half a tank (8 gallons) in conditions ranging from stop and go traffic jams on I-15 to 100+ mph on cruise control. I use mine exclusively for long distance and have never had CBU cleaning done. 335d's really are in a class of 1.[IMG][/IMG]

That's for sure. Am salivating about upcoming road trips during the next 30 days. Mine's a relative youngster though, at only 71k miles.

Are you guys using the odometer to get these numbers? Cause I never seen numbers like that make I just drive like an a-hole most the time.

Yes Im using the odometer. Last year I drove from my property in Kiowa CO to my home in Thousand Oaks CA, a distance of 1145 miles, in 13 1/2 hours. I stopped for fuel just two times.

Just a tick under an average of 85 mph and 2 stops. That was some smokey and the bandit type driving. Was the 13.5 hrs actual driving time or door to door? Your speeds would have to be triple digit + to keep an 85 mile/hr average even for those 2 fuel stops. That is smokin! I was happy to travel 900 miles (only 1 fuel stop) in 13 hours from Houston to Hendersonville, TN with 2 huge rainstorms along the way and had to slow down to 50 mph in both cases.

The 13.5 hours included the fuel and piss stops but not the hour that we took for a break and had a nice dinner. The place where I was able to really make time without worry about traffic enforcement was the 106 mile stretch on I-70 in Utah that has no services or even off ramps. Its an area that is devoid of civilization, spectacularly beautiful and has little traffic. Also my excellent Beltronics V-10 always gave me plenty of warning in time to slow down in areas that had more enforcement. The sections of I-70 and I-15 in Utah are in my opinion some of the best roads in the country to see amazing geology while cruising at triple digit speeds.
