Question Spoiler adhesive

What is the adhesive used to attach front lips etc?

I had some shipped with my SSDD lip, but we cannot trace its origin.

Its a very tough 'rubber' based glue, and can be peeled off with some effort so wont damage paintwork below.

Anyone know of a good glue like this to fix the upper parts of the BMW Aero lip to the bumper?

Use BMW betalink Kit.
If you take your car to dealer, they will use betalink to attach all sort of spoilers.

I have used Betalink, but would give this a try to compare.

Tiger seal is a bastard to remove, 3M double sided tape is gentle but effective.

It might be worthwhile asking a bodyshop to see what they use and see if they can sell you some

I wonder how easy 3M tape is to remove - that was my first choice if I couldnt find the rubbery stuff.

it stays on very well Ive had no issue then to remove likewhen I needed my boot repaired a proper trim tool will get it off. So tough enough to prevent it getting nicked byt also easy enough when needed best of both. Its the same way the oEM is stuck on

Hi All,

I'm looking to reattach my M3 spoiler as the edge's have started the peel off the boot lid. I purchased one of those ebay replica's and used the bonding stuff that came with it but the edges just started coming away. I then had a bodyshop put the spoiler back on as a favour whilst other work was being done on my car. Again, the edges have started to come away.

What else can I use that is remotely safe but is going to be stronger than what's already been tried?

It sounds like you are picky although I can't see what you mean obviously chap. I'd either tigerseal it (permanent .. ) or just live with the slight lift on the corners.

I've used 3m tape and tried to apply as close to the edges as possible.
The edges do come up, but after two attempts, living with it mow
