Morning Everyone - Just figured I would share some quick information on the current injector situation for those N54 owners scoffing at the ridiculous pricing of new injectors.

For about a year N54 owners enjoyed paying essentially half price for new injectors that were released through BMW as part of a TSB specifically for the S63 V8 found in the E70 X5M as well as the E71 X6M. The new part number cannot be found in the ETK BMW catalog. Up until Mar 2018, 3rd party vendors have been able to purchase and resell these cheaper injectors to the masses. However since that date, BMW has made it impossible to order the half price injectors unless the order is part of a warranty claim under a recall meaning 3rd party vendors can no longer sell them. Note that some Canadian dealers will still sell the new discount injectors to customers if specifically asked for via their p/n. This saved me some significant money even compared to online US retailer pricing (ie. FCP); paid $190 CAN (before tax) as opposed to $210 US online or the soul crushing $500 CAN at the dealer for the advertised injector in the part catalog.

So that's why the index 12 injectors I bought from FCP for $810 US$ were such a good deal.

I saw that price point about a year ago and jumped on it then.

Just installed the new index 12's last week and they run perfect!
