E92 2009 325d Remap OBD?

Will be taking my car to have some Eibach springs fitted, asked about the remap service the garage offered but they said on my cars year there was a new ECU fitted?...and it may have to take the ECU out at considerable extra cost for a stage 1 (quoting £500+)

Anyone had a 325d remapped? any idea when the "cutoff" applied from?...car is pre-lci.

Mines a 2008 325D and it was mapped fine without anything being removed. It's also pre LCI.
The map is very good too

If ECU is EDC16 no need for bootmode, it can be done via OBD.
