Hi all,

I have a couple of queries. Is it ever really possible to get the exact same camber settings on the front left and right wheels? I had M3 front arms installed on my E90 335i (rest of the suspension is stock except for a B12 kit), and one side is -1.08 degrees and the other is -0.86 degrees. I know it's only 0.22 degrees (or is that a lot in suspension speak??) but it would be nice to have them both at around -1 deg.

I have also been told at my last alignment that my tie rods are seized so they can't be adjusted to set the toe correctly - so I'll be ordering some new ones to be installed soon. I'm guessing the toe-out situation is going to be doing more harm to my new tyres.

Does anyone think that discrepancy is going to cause issues, or give the handling a strange feeling?

It's common. The seized part can sometimes be unseized by using direct heat like a blow torch. The replacement parts are cheap though.

punch out the locating pin on the side with -0.86* and then adjust the camber to suit.

E90 with M Sport suspension has a
Front Camber = -33' +/-25' with a maximum difference between sides of 30'

So 22' is within tolerance and very close to M3.
M3 Front Camber = -1.10' +/-20' (max 30' between sides)

Thanks mate. I'm booked in to get both tie rod assemblies replaced and an alignment done in a fortnight. Perhaps with the tie rod replacement things might square up a little up front too.
