So, the weather forecast looks great. Are we still on for this drive? airshane, are you up for meeting up the Denver folks in Parker and take us through the "scenic drive" to CO Springs? If not, should the Denver folks meet somewhere around I-25 and 470?

So, I guess no more replies mean the drive is not going to happen?

Unless something crazy with the weather happens, it is definitely happening. There are about 50 cars going so far. The bimmer community needs to have a stronger showing!

Count me in! Sorry I've been MIA lately ... Got called in on a two week gig in Hawaii. It's a rough life, but somebody's gotta do it! Lots of Bimmers down there.

I'm still game for the scenic run down 83. Hopefully it won't be warm enough for the bugs I've heard about.

There's a King Soopers at Stroh Rd and Parker Rd. Perhaps that would be a good starting point for the run down to the springs?

I drove the route on Saturday. There was a bit of gravel, but not too bad. I'll keep a close eye on the weather on Friday. I'll update this thread either late Friday night or Saturday morning if we have to cancel this due to weather.

Sounds like a great starting point. The weather forecast still looks good but...

My guess is its gonna be moist. They're calling for a 70% chance of rain and possibly snow on friday. Doubtful we'll have any accumulation but more than likely is gonna be enough to get the cars dirty.

Yeah, I may be home bound because of my summers being on the car now. Man it drives so much better with those tires versus the blizzaks!

More like roll out of bed, jump on her menstrual cycle, and run our asses over.

Oh darn ... Guess that's the official notice ... Hopefully mother nature won't rape us next time. I was looking forward to the drive. If you see me at King Soopers parking lot Saturday I guess I'll just be there getting groceries now. If it's that bad, I'll probably stay home and catch up on Tivo.

Again, sorry for the weather and cancellation of this cruise this weekend. We value people's rides and more importantly, people's lives. For those that may not be aware, the route for this cruise is deep in the mountains with lots of twisties. These are just not safe conditions to have a cruise this weekend. The snow conditions in the mountains are a lot worse than in the city areas, so it's just not worth taking any unnecessary risks and putting people's lives in danger.
