nice 93 octane V2 datalog

335xi, 40 degree weather, Shell 93 octane. V2 with settings at 94%. 1st -> 3rd gear pulls

* Ignore that first little blip of an acceleration in 1st gear, i started to go then slowed down and went again.

** Fun fact, the traction control light flashed a couple times when I was shifting from 1st to 2nd This was on the stock setup, no disabled traction control or anything. Remember I have AWD.. aka this thing is powerful!!!

It's holding 14.4psi nice and strong for a while going to the dyno on saturday! can't wait.

First! woot

JK.

as ur rpms raise ur boost drops slightly..

would it be wise to change the torque values at those rpms to get an even 14.4 across the board fully consistent?

Well it is supposed to taper some till redline. I do wonder if upping those settings to 95% might be a good idea.

Shiv, what do you think?

Get DP's with a DP specific map and you won't see it taper like that...

I swear I have seen Shiv and more than a few other people with turbo knowledge post that the combination of high boost and high RPM is something to avoid and that's why the taper is built into the tune. Of course I'll probably be backwards on this...

That's a beautiful datalog.
That boost looks great.

Rambino, as I mentioned to you before, you do NOT want to even try to hold 14.4 psi boost up near redline.

That boost log holds boost longer than most as it is.
Bet is feels great!

But you are on 93 Octane, you could stand to raise the torque values a bit (try 94.7xx%) and see if you get peak boost in the 14.6-14.7 psi range.

But if you are like me and like to err a bit on the conservative side, you are golden as is, with a great looking boost curve and datalog.

I'm going to wait and see how the dyno goes, but i'll probably leave it around here. The car is fast as hell, and slightly on the conservative side.... good enough for me. Exhaust/intake stuff will be coming soon enough anyways.

hey jp, looks great! did you do seperate logs from say 90% then 92% then 94%? I'm on 93 pump gas too but it seemed like a had almost 1 psi more when I was on 90% compared to 92%, what are your thoughts? maybe I should give it more time to adapt at 92% before logging? Please share your experiance. Thanks bro

very nice looking data log. Looks like you are holding boost well with a nice taper. It's strange that my data log looks exactly like yours, except it is exactly 1 psi higher at the same 94 tq settings

This time I didn't. My logs were a little weird when I was doing them in 15-20 degree weather back when i did 90...91...92 etc. So i don't think it would be a fair comparison to this one.

same conditions, but at 91 octane. I have exhaust + bmc filter too, maybe that is the difference

Adam, those datalogs look awesome.
You lose quite a bit of boost at your shift point, but damn when in gear, it's a nice flat plateau of boost.
15.4 psi peak is high.

Your car seems to boost high, what % values are you running, which map are you running, and what octane did you have in for those logs?

that log was at 94% across the board. I'm running the 1-10 production map, and was on 91 octane. I just installed the BMC filter last week and wanted to see what my boost looked like. I am very happy with the bmc filter; my car is running really strong right now.
