Cleaned the pocket where the amp is stored and took out the amp to clean it. I thought it might take care of the strange sound in my rear right door speaker but it's still there. I think it is the speaker itself. Will have to have a look at it one day, at least the pocket and amp are clean now!

I did my first ever car DIY today (with the help of a very handy friend) Replaced the coils on my 2012 E91 N52. Car only has 46k on it but was having a little rough idle and starting on cold start so it seemed like a logical place to start. First coil pulled was a made in China special and all others were Bosch. Not sure if that one coil could cause such issues but after replacing them all car starts much smoother and the idle jumps are minimal. A good first DIY project for someone like me who had no prior car repair experience.

Swore at it. The tire pressure light came on and started flashing (328i). I get out, check the pressures and they are all exactly the same as they were a week ago. Thinking maybe a bad sensor?

New belt is Continental Elite and is already shredding itself apart. Stick with Contitech OEM!! Swapping it back tonight.

Even an aftermarket belt shouldn't shred itself that quickly unless there is another issue. I'd double check all the pulleys if there is no more oil getting on the belt.

Will do. Thank you for the tip! Only other difference between the belt is 5mm difference. 6pk1990 OEM vs the new 6pk1995. Idler and tensioner pulleys were replaced 4.5 years ago (25k miles ago). I’ll pull both tonight and check them.

Check the power steering pulley very carefully for a chipped/cracked/broken pulley. Usually happens on the side of the pulley closest to the ps pump, it's the most common problem when having belts break like that/that quick.

I just pulled the belt and checked all pulleys and I’m fairly certain what happened now. I don’t think I fully wrapped the new belt around the crank. It took more effort and pushing to seat the old belt around the crank just now. The new one shredded on the front side which tells me it wasn’t seated properly. All pulleys are good with no play.
