Tint Ticket

So last night I got my first tint ticket but the famous Beverly Hills PD. I was drive thru Sunset Blvd. at about 8 o'clock at night with my driver window rolled down next thing I know I was being pulled over, a cop approached me and asked to roll up my window up so I did, "I have 15% tint in the back and 35% in front" he takes my license, 5min later comes back with ticket. He gives me the ticket to sign and starts asking me question about the car, first he complemented my interior, the color combination, and if I had to order the car, I said thanks and answered all of this questions, then he asked me what’s the fastest I drove the car, so I looked at him and said to my self f**k it, I told him 150mph on the 101 freeway, and damn you had to see the cops face change in two seconds after I said that, with out saying anything he ripped out the ticked and left, my friend and I just looked and each other and started laughing. After all he did just give me a fixing ticket.

yeah I am pissed off about the hole thing but then again I knew that sooner or later I will get pulled over and get a ticket.

I am curious as to why he asked you to roll up the windows? I mean it's kind of saying, "I know you have tinted windows, so I just want to have proof so I can write you a citation." That seems BS to me, but then again, you wouldn't want to argue with a CHP, would ya!

I'd still say that's BS in any case.

Yea a friend Of mine at school got the same thing, he had his windows down n cop asked him to roll them up since he had them in the back. But lucky for him someone had just busted his window 2 days be4 so he had regular windows instead of his really dark ones, forget wat % they were

i went to court, judge gave me 2 options. To either keep my tint and pay 250, or pay 10 bucks and have it removed with proof. I figured that I would cost me another 180-200 bucks just to get it re tinted, plus my time. So to save myself the time and the money (i guess), I chose to pay 250 and keep it. Case closed

i remember when i got pulled over with the lexus, the cop approached me, "License and registration please.." gave him the stuff, i look in the rear view mirror and i see him writing a ticket...

So to kill time, i bust out with one of my books, open it infront of me reading for 5minutes..cop comes back, looks at me wierd cause all he sees is a brown dude with a engineering book in his hand.. tells me to sign the ticket..

i think the on comming traffic were all looking~

bro you don't have to re tint all the windows, the only thing the cops look for are the front windows, I got a quote today from the same place where I got the windows tinted they told me $60, and thats to take the front ones off and put them back on after the cop checks it off.

Shit. That sounds like a pain.

I have no front plate right now, I just like the way it looks, I hope they don't make me remove my tint. I only have 20%, but it's still noticable. I see Toyota Corollas with tint all the time, exactly how much is illegal?

Now that's what I'm talking about. I don't have any windshield tint, so I guess I'm safe but even if I do get a ticket, $60 is okay.

I think the rear can be as dark as you want, but the sides can't be darker than 15 and the front probably 33-35.
I know alot of my friends who have that combo and they never get pulled over. I ordered 33% all around from my dealer cuz it looked good and i don't like to go lower than that cuz IMO too dark is ugly.

dude I had 35% in the front and 15% in the back and they still fucked me, in the Cali you cant have front tint...

my lexus i had 3 years, 5% all around, NEVER had a ticket... it's weird, i even got pulled over twice for speeding, and both times i had the cop not mention anything about my windows... the last time i couldn't stop laughing, his partner came up to my passenger window for backup, and i didn't even notice he was standing there until everything was all said and done... some partner though, if i couldn't see him, sure as hell he couldn't see inside either...
