FS: low-KM N54 water pump and thermostat

SOLD!

--------------

embarassingly, i replaced the water pump (and thermostat while i was in there) on my new-to-me E90 335i, only to find out the water pump was actually fine... i had an issue with the connection at the fuse block on top of the battery. sigh.

anyway. i pulled out a perfectly good OEM water pump and thermostat, which have a whopping 20K KMs on them (mfg date is april 2016). if you need a backup, or a replacement... this will save you some major $$$.

asking $300 for the pair (i just dropped $700 on the new units...). i'm in picton, but i'm in vaughan once a week for work, so i could bring them in with me.

thanks!

peter

Ah, I might be interested in this. I replaced mine recently, and I have a leak again. Not sure if it's the water pump, it's been too cold to check it. Do you have any photos? Cheers.

why would you install a used pump ??? labor is 3 times the price of the new pump, you dont want to do this job over and over again

Pump fails around 100k kms. So installing a 20K pump is not a horrible idea, especially for people who DIY.

I guess it depends on how much you're saving.

It is very easy to replace the WP/Tstat on your own. Doesn't take much other than some basic tools and 3 hours.

How do you know that the pump only has 20k kms on it if the car was new to you when you mistakenly replaced it? Thanks G.
