A8AD Sidemarker Light Right Faulty

So I've been running a set of these Lasfit 194 bulbs in my sidemarkers for almost a year with no codes. Suddenly one day when starting up the vehicle I started getting the A8AD code. Sidemarker and all turn signals are still lighting up perfectly fine.

My first thought was that perhaps one of the resistors on the bulb burned out or something and I got a brand new replacement, but the new bulb did the same thing. Not sure what is going on here because the code is only showing on the right side even if I swap bulbs between sides. Something weird going on with my FRU? Tried resetting the FRU already to no effect. I don't see any setting in ProTool for specifically coding out the sidemarker cold/warm checks either.

So what I finally figured out after many months was that this code is not for the sidemarker bulb at all but actually for the front right standing light / DRL inside the high beam reflector. The error goes away when WARMUEBERWACHUNG_SL_V is set to Not Enabled. (Described in ProTool as "Hot monitoring of front standing lights or angel eyes")
Now to figure out how to change this bulb out...

Nice for 1 Series Owners too !

Thanks for posting on this ! My Bentley manual does not cover this, and I too had checked my side marker lamps and corner lamps to no avail. New Philips 12961 LL bulbs in both left and right positions fixed it !

Changing these bulbs is a bit strange - the bulb holders have a stem on the back about 40mm (1.6" or so) long. The holder press-snap fits into the high beam reflector bowl. One wiggles and pulls it out, removes the bulb, inserts new one, and then threads the bulb and holder back into position in the bowl.
