How long will parts last after replacement?
I have a 2012 E92 with 54k miles. The car is my weekend car. I bought it with 30k miles like 4 years ago and been on a stage 2+ tune for like 20k miles. Within those 24k miles that I've driven it, I basically replaced most of the parts that's common with issues, excluding parts for typical maintenance (Plugs, coils, oil changes). So how much longer will these parts last before having to replace them again? Here's an example of what I've replaced so far at under 53k miles.
Main parts not including sensors/upgraded mods: 34k miles-OFHG and coolant expansion tank 49k miles-Valve cover/gasket and new battery 53k miles-HPFP and water pump/thermostat Walnut blasting at 40k Transmission service at 53k Oil changes like every 4-6k miles So to the people who have 80-100k+ miles on your N55. How many times have you replaced the same parts and what do you think will be the next part that I'll need to replace? I keep up with my maintenance/oil changes. I thought N55 was reliable until all these issues happened with only less than 54k miles. I'm not sure if my car had the Vanos recall done. Other parts I assume will need replacing soon, belt/pulley and injectors? What am I missing? The car has been a headache. Replaced my HPFP a month ago and now most likely water pump/thermostat will need to be replaced due to overheating warning. One thing after the next.

I mean, it's doesn't sound THAT bad in terms of repair for 4 years and near 40K km (24k miles).
I am surprised though the waterpump didn't last to long. I thought they usually last a good 50K miles at least. |

Yeah, i found out after i did it. I was still kinda new to the n55 and thought it needed a walnut blast like the n54. Lol. The guy showed me the valves before and after and it didn't look bad at all. I'm getting more familiar with the N55 so it's still a learning experience. Fun car but expensive to maintain, even when it's my weekend car.

Im at 165k mi, having bought the car just over 3 years ago at 113k.
The PO had changed the water pump / thermostat, OFHG, broken VANOS bolts (& VCG to get to them), and PS pump ... so I was told. He talso old me he never did the Walnut blast and they weren't too bad at 114k when I did it (and haven't since). Since then, I've replaced the HPFP, starter, diverter valve, boost solenoid, and expansion tank. I did replace the HPFP again recently; It was running fine, but had some shadow codes and would have a cold long crank or two per week. I got a free replacement and swapped it myself (FCP Euro plug). So in 8 years and 165k mi, the HPFP & OFHG were the 2 repairs made twice. |

I'm at 130,000km and I've only done OFHG and waterpump/tstat.
Charge pipe, pulleys/belt, plugs done preemptively when I bought it at 82,000. |
