Considering the FP turbo's will require a core I recommend someone snag these up asap

Well then he is getting these off of wrecks (doubtful because he probably sell the whole motor/trans) or he is getting them from warranty work performed by at a dealer.

for a while he only had a bunch of rears... i bought one of those....... and was keeping my eye out for a front...

now he has both..... so i bought a pair.... so i'll probably have an extra rear now... will probably sell that...

but back on topic... on my car... my current front is leaking oil right at the clamp between the hot and cold...

seeing he had only rears for a while.. i was half wondering if they were coming from wrecks... and only selling the ones that looked 'good' at first glance (not leaking) ... (wondering if maybe the fronts have issues or something for some reason) ...

anyway...I emailed him then... and he said, "sorry, no fronts right now" ... and this current listing is about the 5th in the last week or so for a pair....

so it looks like he gets them in batches... as he throws up a set as soon as the last one is sold....

at the same time... i can't imagine coming from a salvage yard... as those guys would probably want more $$$....

then... if you look at his other auctions.... he has turbos for lots of cars... so odds are it's not a relationship with a dealer.....

i almost wonder if it's a part of a sorta parting out operation... maybe a deal with a large insurance company to buy certain cars that are totalled... sell of parts... under different user names.... supertubrosales ... superwhateversales ???

almost seems like a specialized online junk yard...

that said.. i've never asked.. just speculating... but i'm curious too... as my front is leaking... when i send a set of cores in to get upgrades down the road... should i send the one i got.. or my current leaking one... dunno which is better..etc... (would want to keep the better one and get the crappier one rebuilt i'd think)

hahahaha.... could be.... seems like an awful lot of 335s to get stolen though...

on a good note... my first one came with a clamp and gasket too... for free !!

(dunno about the full set i just bought... it's "in the mail")

description on the first was accurate... i'm curious though... 'shaft play is minimal" .... the one i got.. true.. it is very minimal ... I don't know anything about turbos... is minimal ok ? or should it be "none" ??

I would bet that these are coming from dealers replacing the whole turbo system for wastegate rattle complaints. BMW failure analysis has no doubt seen plenty of those by now.

Placed a bit just to get a set to play with.

We'll see how far it goes though.

Everyone that we have replaced has been recalled by BMW. We havn't been able to keep one set.

Of course every set that we have replaced so far has been covered under warranty.
