Transmission issue
My car is 330D xdrive lci auto.
This occurs usually when stopping on traffic or driving downhill and stopping. When i use normal throttle to take off after stopping, it feels like there´s some play in transmission and car jumps forward after revs are over 1100rpm. If i use throttle very carefully i can hide this pretty good. Everything else works fine. No slipping or anything. No faults stored. I noticed something strange when looked my car with ista . When i open EGS and look for transmission position: When selector is in P ista shows R selector is in R, ista shows N selector is in N or D , ista shows D on both. Instrument cluster shows everything ok. One thing comes to my mind. Could the leaking oil seals between mechatronic and transmission do this jumping, if the pressure is not good enough? And if i reset driving style adaptations, it feels like it cures this jumping for a moment. |

1100 rpm is when the turbo is fully spooled up. When that happens, engine torque reaches a big value, causing the car to jump. Normal; I have to be very careful and squeeze the throttle carefully to avoid it in my 335d.
Might be two other things involved: 1) Tranny often starts off in 2nd. A shift down to 1st will give a jolt. 2) Torque converter locks up at a bad time. |
