Am I doing something wrong?

Dealer's asking price for 21,xxx mileage 2007 335i Sedan was $33,991
-Nav
-Sports
-Premium
-Heated Seats
-Steptronic Auto
-Logic7

Our final offer was asking price ($33,991) out the door, sales manager still said no and had the nerve to write us a note that basically said "nice try." Is 34k out the door not realistic?

This was at Stevens Creek BMW btw. What am I doing wrong?

NICE TRY???
Wow, what a douche bag.

Similar experience.
07 328i CPO loaded, dealer price 30k
Offered $28k then walked out. Got two calls asking "did you change your mind?"
Didn't even give me a counteroffer at $29k or even $29.5k!!!

The CPO situation is ridiculous. These cars are not selling and they are not willing to budge on prices. I go to multiple dealers around 5-6 PM on weekdays and often find myself as the ONLY customer there.

Another experience. Similar CPO but it was a smoker's car and had a bunch scratches inside and out. They would not budge on the price when I was at the dealer and boom they lowered $2k two days after and the car got sold the next day. Seeing and driving the car, I still did not want the car at $2k less.

I love CPO but the price is steep. If i wanted to sell my car today, i would have lost nearly half of what we paid.
