245/40 18 on E90 xi

Has anybody tried fitting a 245/40 tire on 18 x 8.5 ET 35 in a square setup? I have 235/40 now but looking for a little more protection from road hazards.

Thanks

i'm running 245/35/19 on 19X8.5 ET35
should be pretty similar to what you're looking at, no issues with my setup. i believe 245/40/18 is slightly smaller than 245/35/19

I run 245/40/18 on 8.5 ET29. No issues--could even be more agressive on rear offsets (and I am LCI)

Thanks for the replies. I may take a look at a tire shop to see how much of difference it may be. I don't want to shell out the money of its going to be a small difference.
