new 330i or used c32 amg!!!???
i am stuck with a very hard decision! i always had my mind set on the e90 330i but then i found a 2003 c32 amg with only 25000km for around $3000 CDN cheaper then a new 330i with the options i wanted ... the 330i feels much more fun to drive but then the c32 just got crazy power ... plus is an amg which is more rare unlike the e90 which will soon every mom/dad and boys/girls will be driving ... what would you guy get!?
330i - black/black, automatic, sport package 2003 c32 - dark blue (like bmw monaco blue) black/blue two tone interior, xenon 25000km but around $3000 CDN cheaper then the 330i |

Get the BMW and be happy. I am getting rid of my C32 within 24 hours and it is a 2003. The car has been nothing but problems, poor handling, very poor gas mileage, and the list goes on.

E90, I am not a fan of buying used sports cars. AMG, if it was mine I would beat the crap out of it.

It depends....
It depends on what expect out of the car. Before I go any further let me say that I currently drive a '02 C32 so I'm a little biased. However, I did own a '01 330i with many, many mods. I was completely with my 330 until I drove the C32. It had (and still has) more power than any stock 3 series, including the M3. BMW power, in my opinion is weird. It always feels like you have more than the numbers. Now that I've muddied the waters a bit.....
I like the E90, it's a great car. It just needs more power. Give it another 50whp and I'd buy it in a heart beat. I do like the new styling and interior of the E90's. BTW: I've had no problems with mine - not an exception Check this out. http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=48 Last edited by cliverman; 08-25-2005 at 07:56 PM.. Reason: typo |

anything AMG is usually good, but the inside of the C-Class is garbage.
I had a '99 C230 Sport (in 1999) and the interior quality was SO much better than current C-Class. |

One answer: E90. No bias. C-class Mercedes just looks crappy. It looks no difference b/w AMG and the regular C except the AMG logo on.

E90, no quesition. The unique feel of a BMW cannot be replaced by anyone.
Oh yeah, Mercedes, as a brand, is also well below industry average in 3-year reliability (according to JD Power) and 14th from the bottom of the pile in this category. Just a thought. On top of it, someone who is selling a C32AMG with only 25K km probably kicked the shit out of it for the whole time he had it... why else do you get a 350bhp Supercharged V6??? |

I agree that a new car is the better choice. Your gas mileage will be better, you'll get service included, you get an extremely capable car; plus, new car smell.
I'd say consider the XI though, what with the ice and all up there. |

well if u really want strait up neck snapping speed just go with the benz. Youll still have another shit load of miles/km before u ever run out of warrantee so if anything breaks, youll get it fixed free. So it doesnt really matter even if someone did beat on the car alot.
however if u want better handling and driving feel in exchange for a LOT of power (almost 100hp worth) take the 330i. Its still fast enough for anything you would ever do on a public road. But not as crazy fast as the benz. |

The C32 averages 17mpg city and 21mpg highway, looks like a typical entry-level mercedes, especially when compared to all the other models mercedes makes, and its styling rekindles childhood memories of what I have always thought about mercedes cars--they are for OLD people who can afford them.
I'd rather be accused of driving a yuppy-mobile like the 330i. |

Honestly....just drive both.
The e90 i would say has better vehicle driving dynamics, looks a little nicer, and has a decent amount of power (255hp). The C32 on the other hand handles probably the same, is FAR FAR FAR faster than the e90, is far more exclusive, and probably has worse interior styling, but is most likely far more comforable to drive in than the bmw. But in all honesty, coming from a e90 owner, i would definately get a C32 amg. My friend just got the C55 amg (2006 model) and if that car is any indication of what the c32 is....definately go for the c32. When it comes down to it, for normal everyday highway/city driving the c32 will most likely be superior than a track ready 330i. |
