Does Anyones Shifter Vibrate Badly

My shifter shakes/vibrates pretty violently when in 3rd gear - the rest of the gears are fine but it's damn annoying because I can barely put my hand on in when accelerating in 3rd. I took it to the dealer and the shop manager said that this is normal and not any indication of any problems. My old 328 didn't do this but my new car is a 335 so I didn't know if this is common on 335s.

Problem is my warranty is up in 3500 miles and I don't want to have a problem after it expires -

Thoughts?

Maybe a bolt is loose? If it vibrates as much as you say it shouldn't do that at all and bmw needs to take a look at it. BMW is cheap now a days.

ya - I don't know, I'm going to talk to the shop manager again tomorrow since I have to go in for service and see what he says about a loose bolt or something -

I'm thinking some bushing might be worn.

Just wanted to give everyone an update in case anyone else is having this problem, they ended up replacing the entire transmission ($7k) so it was more serious than the shop manager originally thought.

Anyhow, I got a new transmission under but should there be anything else that I should keep an eye out for (what else might a bad transmission effect)?

Here it is right off the receipt -

"Complaint: CUSTOMER STATES SHIFTER SHAKES IN THIRD GEAR/ HAS GOTTEN SORSE SINCE LAST TIME
Cause: TEST DROVE CAR AND DUPLICATED THE CONCERN. TECH AND SHOP FOREMAN AGREED THAT THE 3RD GEAR DETENT WAS WEAK ALLOWING THE SHIFTER TO RUB THE SYNCROS DURING A HARD ACCELERATION. THUS CAUSING THE VIBRATION IN THE SHIFTER
Correction: MANUAL TRANSMISSION"

The bad part is that the shifter is still vibrating so it's going back to the dealer on Tuesday - when I picked it up, they said it still vibrated because my aftermarket wheel was bent, I put my straight OEM rims back on and the problem is still there so we'll see what they say next Tuesday -
