Car's looking great lad!

You can do by filling the inner wheel gap with some bigger brakes, that made a massive difference on my 18's

Colour coded is certainly better than the red.

So after nearly having a heartattack from the prices of a full genuine carbon fibre interior trim kit, I hopped on ebay and went with the cheaper option. 2metres of 3M high gloss 4d carbon fibre wrap.

Broke out the heat gun yesterday and got stuck in. It required patience and sacrificing the top of my thumb to a stanley blade, but I got there.

Happy with the results, please excuse the dirty door cards, the whole interior needs a squirt of detailer to remove the finger prints and marks!

You need to re-do your ashtray, the weave goes the opposite way.

I've never seen 3M offer a decent CF look vinyl, I've got some no name stuff on mine and I'm pretty happy with it, especially for the money!

Cheers lads. It looks good and I'm happy enough but I'd rather genuine CF if i'm honest. Theres just something about vinyl wrap I think looks cheap or tacky. However it's hard to justify the cost of CF trim pieces.

My centre console goes the opposite way of my dash, was annoying as I lined the door strips up but just didn't have a piece big enough. I've got matte at the moment with a single piece of gloss I've been testing but not sure which I prefer. Think it's the matte, just looks a bit more like dry carbon and doesn't reflect the sun in to your eyes ha.

Fogs bought from SSDD and no, they do not flicker on startup, they come with resisters to counteract this i believe.

Slight update on my quest to build my E90 to my liking!

Parts haul has increased

H&R Sport springs and MTEC grooved/dimpled rotors to go on.

Decided to put the car up on 4 axle stands for the coming 2 weeks, partly to aid me while i fit these parts and partly so I can carry out a full paint correction on the car. Also decided I'm going to give this a good clean and refresh in around the wheel well/chassis area too.

The build up of dirt and grime on the strut tower and mounts is considerable and had been bothering me whenever I had removed the wheels to do something. The rusty brown parts can be seen too and just looked ugly.

Removed the caliper, old discs and sensor wiring and began attacking with a wire brush. I then blasted the loose dirt with the pressure washer and brought the raw aluminium up. It still looks dirty in this photo, but thats just pitting in the metal. Going to give these a coat of paint while i'm here, along with the hub's. The same was carried out on the drivers side.

Quick test fit. Plan for next week is to get these fitted along with the springs and finish the wheel well cleanup. Then I'll resurrect the machine polisher and begin the first cutting pass on the paint to remove all those swirls from winter washes.

Also, if anyone has any helpful tips as to fitting shorter springs to an M-Sport, please let me know!

your making it hard to keep to a schedule and budget here while seeing you do all the stuff i need to lol.

just got my car back from 3 months of insurance body work, but it was worth it as i scored a total rear end build, including new sub frame and bushings, wanted to get M upgrades but we snuck it in the quote so was happy with a 3500 freebie on the SF

just put M rep side skirts on to realize i might be getting rid of them lol, gonna just get the reals instead, lesson learned.

oh i also scored a free mtech rear bumper in the insurance deal too, so total come up on the time they had my car

just saw your irish too, moynihan here

Hi bud, have you ever considered getting German style number plates? I hate Irish plates but I've found at least with a German font pressed plate they look less shit than they otherwise do! Although you do sometimes see them on shitty old souped-up Audis with tinted windows, etc., but on an otherwise classy car (like yours) I think they can be a nice touch.
