I just had my entire DME and all modules updated at the dealership right before my warranty ran out. What DME would that mean I have? I assume even with it being the most recent, it is compatible?

Also, apologies if this has been covered but will there be engine code reading and clearing functions?

Will n55 MHD support the options that n54 has when flashing maps? e.g. auto trans kick down delete, exhaust burble duration and aggressiveness, etc etc.

I would like the option to enable and disable on demand.

If it has the exhaust burble, does the MHD make the PPK flash obsolete? Also looking forward to cold start delete.

that's just preference but i've heard ppk has a "better" burble at least by others who have both.

Yes

Option changes are applied at the time of flash and not on demand.

No, PPK is still PPK. But once MHD is release who would want to run the PPK? It's not that good of a map to begin with other than the burble.

Hows this for N55 Options...

Unless you have or are talking to people who now have the options with MHD N55 ver 0.17 which updated on the 14th, I'm not sure where you're getting your information.

Hey Ken. If I install the MHD, will I still be able to communicate with the OBD port? Also, if I uninstall the MHD, does it clear all the codes like the Cobb?

Whatever the current ROM you have, when MHD is installed it uses always 98G0B. Wait till mid next week for the details. Bottom line, no need to change your current software version.

Yes. No need to install ppk we have everything you'd want.

We use the same settings but the duration is adjustable.

As I am a pure Apple user, and I understand that this will only work using an Android platform, what is the best, cost effective way to go in terms of a device that I can use for MHD when it finally comes out?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Borrow someone's Android phone/tablet? Lmao, you'll only need it for about an hour. You'll also want a battery maintainer--if your battery dies/car shuts off mid flash, you're going to be in a world of pain.

I'm sure you can find a cheap $50 Android tablet on Amazon, or Ebay a Nexus 7--they're probably pretty cheap now considering they're 3-4 years old.

Edit: Ebay has refurbished Nexus 7's for $60 and it's a great tablet--I have one and have used it to Flash my previous N54 with MHD.

Best buy digiland $35 tablet. Or Lenovo Tab3 for $100 if you want more quality.

Borrow someone else device is not too great sicne the licences will be bound with the owner's account. Because we had often features and maps revisions, most user reflash several times a year.

If we already have the PPK flash installed, do you recommend flashing back to stock prior to install???

Question: If I already have a bench flash that satisfies my tuning needs but I would only like to change "burble" settings, is that possible? Or will initial MHD flash overwrite my bench flash settings?

When you guys use the battery charger, do you guys put it at 12v and 6a? I normally tend to put it at that setting when I would upload the Cobb maps.

If 6a is the most it will put out then yes. Mine has a 35a setting and that's what I use. The car will pull obscene amounts of current while flashing.

I have a question about the cold start delete option. How does this work with E85? When I run more then 9-10 gallons it cranks a lot more to start in the morning, and it usually almost dies a second after starting, sputtering and then revving really high and being very loud. Will it get rid of this? If I run less E85 it's still loud but doesn't almost sputter and die and then rev and then REALLY loud.

So this means I should probably get a bigger battery charger lol. I don't want to use it for 35 mins if it's that long to upload the map then wait another 25 mins

Not required. I have the PPK installed on my car also.

MHD would overwrite the bench flash.

Depending on how good your battery is, a 6a charger should be fine to get you through the first flash without voltage dropping low enough to cause an issue. Reflash is only 4 min so you won't need a charger at that point.

Over charging can be as bad or worse than a drop in voltage. More is not always better.
