I loved the reaction of the guy handing out the timeslips at the end of the video.

I'm currently half way through the build thread!

Shep is making coin these days of his transmission services he provides for the GTR and DSM Community. Wonder if he could make something for our 6at?

My R35 should be coming back from the shop soon. S2 cams, new pistons, conn rods, etc, valvetrain work, new tarbos, dodson tranny goodies good for 800ft/lbs of torque, 2k cc injectors, greddy tbs + intake manifold, custom triple pump setup, and syvecs.

Hoping for about 800 ft/lbs of torque from about 3500'ish rpm to redline (8k) and just shy of 1k whp on race gas.

pretty awesome. but with the gtr hype i will say, while in the market for a new vehicle at the moment, i considered a gtr. people are fast to 'want' one, or believe they would, but how many ppl have driven them? the forced auto trans and rather bland drive has to be accepted for the ability to make big big power, if of course thats your main focus. maybe its just me and i needed more seat time, but the gtr isnt that 'in touch' or fun of a car ;/ sorry. none the less i love the older gentlemans reaction at the end.

Yeah, that was my first thought when I saw the video -- I guess this is what Shep is doing with the $$ from all those DSM transmissions, lol. Good for him I remember wanting one of his transmissions for my GSX back in the day. Looking back now, they were really not unreasonably-priced, but they were still considered one of the "holy grails" of a DSM build. I would love to see him on the N54 scene. The guy is crazy talented.

I also like how the car in the other lane in that video is a 1G DSM

Believe it or not this is a very common reaction from many enthusiasts who have driven it. The GTR more or less drives itself, it by no means a raw drivers car, but is more the endgame of where many super cars are headed nowdays.

Nonetheless, the power and potential of this car, mainly because of its low price point, is one of a kind. Just like how BMW tuned our car to perform the same despite location and conditions, Nissan built this car to give anybody the ability to kill everything on the road and track, despite (somewhat) driver ability.

IMO, GTR's look like something out of a teenage ricer's wet dream and lack distinguished style. I pointed out one to the GF a couple months ago and she asked if it was a Scion. With 1300hp though...I'd trade her in for it.

It's a pretty crazy build. I'm not a fan of the looks, but the power is awesome. Just to make you guys feel even better, he's got two or three other cars being built right now also. A 993TT, widebody AMG SL65, etc...
