Hey everyone, keeping this short and sweet.

I have an android auto / carplay mmi box wired and working perfectly. (CIC version, 2012 car)

I would like to get an AMP and Enclosure Subwoofer to put in the trunk.

Does anyone know of any guides or videos of someone who's done this?

Or any suggestions on what to buy / how to wire it all up?

first thing you have to know is which of the three different sound systems you have.
This does not mean which head unit you have.

adding a subwoofer to the lousy BMW systems gives you
the lousy system plus a subwoofer.

I have the HI-FI system, per the website you gave me.

I guess the main question is now, how easy it would be to start with an AMP + Subwoofer (wiring that, relative to the fact that i already have a bypass quadlock plugged into the CD player, for the MMI android auto box) then moving forward with upgrading speakers in the future

Get the technicpnp.com hi fi amp harness adapter this will make everything easy.
Audio tech Fisher is one of the best amp/dsp companys who also make plug and play speakers. There are many out there now though. , but they won't be brands that are
common such as Sony, Pioneer etc.. etc..

Just to clarify, I'm not looking to upgrade my speakers

I just want an amp and a sub, preferably on a small budget. (600$ amps seems.. excessive)
