Mine came via Broker4cars.com. Just short of 15%.

If you're thinking of buying then get do so quick. BMW UK has publicly stated they want to end the discount frenzy asap.

I don't know what your situation is, if you have a trade-in for instance, but I would give your local dealer a try. Its soon to be December and year-end is near, so they have targets to meet and will be keener for your business than any other time of the year. I managed 10% with a good trade-in, it won't match the online guys, but is hassle free.
Of course, you have to ask.... |

Dunno where online but if you can, go to broad oak bmw in kent, i got an 11% discount on the total price after adding all the toys
that is: 11% off (list price + all my options) Decent deal i think |

oh good point, I meant 10% off the total cost, including options (although salesman at first said that they did not discount options....5 mins later it was no problem)

I'd email a dozen or so dealers with your requirments, I managed a £4k discount because one dealer had stock, stock is dead money to them, oh and I had nothing to PX. plus it was ready for instant delivery, "which is nice".
Good luck. |

I'm looking at purchasing a 330i M Sport Coupe and best discount I could find was 13% from Coast2Coast. As mentioned previously, changes are to be introduced by BMW meaning reduced discounts next year. I've been informed it will be reduced to 5% for coupes. If this turns out to be true, then I might regret waiting for a 2008 registered car.
I did have another quote that was 12% and was told the price would hold for order placed in November. My spec would be a factory build and mean registration next year. Coupe of days to act on that one providing the dealer hasn't back tracked. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy. |

Where has this been announced by BMW UK? Not sure this will work as BMW GmbH will still give big discounts direct from the factory - hence this may reopen the importer opportunities, which is possibly why the main dealer (e.g. Coopers Reading into drivethedeal) discounting came into being in the first place. They may feel they've killed off the import competition and hence can start over charging again, but the cycle will just start again surely?!

So if this genuinely happens we will be in a position with less discount at the front end and when the 2nd hand market catches up in 2 or 3 years a better residual in theory. Net/Net nil effect for most people who get hefty discount at front end.

I don't think that suppliers can legally prevent retailers from discounting and even selling at a loss if they wish. All BMW can really do is address their incentive programme to ensure that dealers are not rewarded unduly for bulk discounting. This would potentially reduce the very large 16% discounts being offered by the brokers right now, but would not end discounting altogether. The problem with this approach is that the discounting also reflects the economies of the marketplace. If BMW do not get there pricing right then they will lose market share to Audi and Mercedes. |
