You should bring it anyway. Even places that aren't "nice" have character.

Yes certainly so

Depends if we have time for stopping etc. and if people want pictures of their car going on the net, I know some people are funny about that

I know a few of the roads were going on here by the looks of things, really looking forward to it - just a shame I wont have any work done on the car beforehand, but hopefully even a stock 335D will keep up with the NSL

Matt - Last time, the NSL's were abused (Gav's fault).

Great stuff!

Helen. you seem to suggest that I drive rapidly...

Don't think anyone needs to worry about what car they're in! There's certainly going to be an interesting range. 2 of my friends are coming along in an old 5 series, I'm likely to have 2 in the back and the Dales get a bit busy on a Saturday, so can't see us tearing about too much!

As far as photos, the more the better...but not of me I'm hoping we have decent enough weather to stop for photoshoots...although parking together might become an issue with so many cars!

Now, the curry is sorted...I assume everyone wants lunch?! Need to find a pub or cafe with a big dining area!!

Lol Gav - no I liked the way you drove, was good fun. Yeah some would say it was rapid but what do they know.

Lunch is a must, but like you say it's finding somewhere big enough!

The Devonshire Arms used to do good grub (2 courses for a fiver!), and plenty of room. Haven't been there for some time though.

Me too. I've averaged 10 miles a day for the last month. It will be good to give the car a decent run. Anyone else booked the hotel?

Looking forward to this now, do the same old drives all the time so will be good fun to visit somewhere different.

What mileage are we doing? If over 125-150 miles are we passing petrol stations, don't want to be a bore but in a 16MPG car with only £35 tank (don't like running it that low either) petrol stations are a must

Will bring my camera if anyone really doesn't want pics of their car though, please tell me Gav, none of you or none of your car?

meet/cruise etiquette + reaction

Having not been in any sort of convoy/cruise/pissabout since I had a Talbot Sunbeam, would love to know what your guys and gals reckon is the norm, and what's frowned upon?

Cant afford any burnouts...

Also, what's the general reaction from Joe Public on these meets?

Well I've never had no negative attention on PH run outs full of LOUDDDDDDDD TVRs, Ferraris and exotica so to be quite frank a bunch of BMWs, one Porsche and one MR2 turbo will not attract any unwanted attention I can't imagine

The norm is just having a good time as you see fit drive to your ability, I would say leaving people behind with no means of knowing where they are going / no means of communication is very bad. If you do anything like burnouts, donuts, drifting etc. do make sure it is in a safe place and not creating unwanted attention.

Oooo please don't call it a cruise, thats a pet hate of mine
