Engine performance variance
Hi,
I remember reading a while ago (on a BMW forum) that there can be as much as 10% performance difference with like engines. From what I can remember, the difference is due to the manufacturing process. If an engine is machined using new bits, the engine will perform noticeably better. If the engine is machined using an older (more worn out) bit, the engine wouldn't perform as well. Anyway, I just wanted to bring this up to you guys to see if this is indeed true. Thanks, Chris |
