I raced a fiends e60 M5 and had no problme walking it up to 130 mph where I finally let off, he wanted to run even faster and I wouldn't cuz I still had drag radials on the car and they skate around at high speeds with the big sidewall. I replaced the my half shaft with another stock one. The shaft broke from wheel hop and not from too much power so no point in me getting DSS yet. |

anybody know of a good Indy shop out there to service their car? I've visited Schatz & Krum once to take care of my tires, i was happy with ther service and price. Just looking to see if anybody has any other recommendations (if they are open on saturdays that would be a huge bonus!)

Hello everyone
I'm a new member here My Wife and I have owned BMWs (and a Mini) for nearly a decade now and it's good to be among other BMW enthusiasts I've been reading the forums for a while now and decided to join once I saw this thread that was for others in the area (nice cars for many of you by the way) Hope to see some of you around town or at one of these events but I don't get much time to get away. Unfortunately with the economy the way it is we've whittled our cars down form an e46 convertible and a Mini to one that we could share but also reflected both our tastes so the good news is an e92 is what we now have It's a 2007 AW e92 328i (I'll post picts later) that we've had for a couple years now. We really enjoy it and have done a few minor things to personalize it. I find my self now wanting to do other stuff to it but keep it drivable for both of us. It has the sport suspension which is fine for us although the uneven front to rear wheel gap drives me up the wall every time I look at it. I was looking into an M3 style rear wing and the OEM Aero lip, eventually new or re-painted wheels but before I do anything else I want to see what I could do about that front ride height/wheel arch gap. I have seen the "lowering perch" for the front springs that seem to drop it only the 10-15mm needed to match better with the rear. I'm considering getting some of those and having them installed, so... I want to find someone local and who is familiar with these cars and proper facilities for installations of this type. I've seen this Gentlmen post quite a bit in this Sac thread... Quote:
Any or advise on those lowering perches is also appreciated... I've seen both the Supreme Power and Bimmian stores carry them and wondered if any one knew which was of a better quality construction/fit. Well I'd better get back to work, but I look forward to participating in this forum community here and thank you in advance for any one who can point me in the right direction. always MERIDIAN |

Yea it sucked a huge rock hit me, but I was due for a new windshield as it currently looks like it was sandblasted. Safelite said $250 + install, but hooray for a $0 deductible. Let's just hope they don't mess up the sealing.

No new glass for me today. The wonderful idiots at Safelite were scheduled for the AM but couldn't come until 4pm. I love how they think nobody in this world has to go to work.

Yay going to BMW EG at lunch to pick mine up.. had a shaky headlight replaced and they had to cut the lip off the rear rotors to stop a squeak that happened every time I turned @ low speeds or took off from a stop!

Look who's #2 in line for RB turbos! It's going to be close, but I don't think I'll have time to install these before Thunderhill.

Just don't expect me to be boosting over 14 psi before I upgrade my tranny/half shafts From what I hear, they are producing lots more power all the way to redline at 14 PSI vs the stockers. I think I found a local shop to do the install, if not, I may have to drive all the way down to Sonic MS.

Anything new with Sactown? I just put some new bushings on my buddies Mustang, what a PITA job that was. I'm now scared to do my M3 suspension bits because of this.

Will you did the fog lamp removal with m3 ducts right? was the duct retrofit a PITA? or pretty easy.

I'm debating the suspension bits or DSS half shafts next. You want to see my intake again before you leave? Text me and we can work on a time tonight.

^^^ Good stuff. Glad you're going again.
So, I was in Danville area today and couldn't help myself. Yup, had to stop by Vishnu HQ's. Placed an order for their meth kit. I know I've said this before but this MUST be my last power upgrade. *fingers crosssed for self-control* |
