Greetings to all experts BMW I have ordered the machine bmw 335 it there will be in May I as wish to order a blow off, but the problem consists in that, that I live in Russia and about a blow off nobody knows. You can answer me what blow off will approach to this machine? Or for this machine there is no blow off, but it is possible to alter to bmw 335

Welcome to the boards. If, i hate to do this, but if you do a search above and type in BLOW OFF VALVE or BOV, you'll find a wealth of knowledge and debate on the topic.

The general consensus is, its just for sounds on this vehicle. The 335 is not putting out the the amount of boost that justifies it having a blow off valve.

You'll even find some say it's actually a bad mod for the car because it makes the vehicle lose power.

I dont think it will make you look cheap, you spent upwards of 300+ to make a sound. Hell, if anything it makes you look like you have money to blow.

I have no problems with BOV's (unlike some on this board who hate it with a passion) although i probably wouldnt use it unless i was running higher boost or AA decided to send me one for free

Wow people do hate Bov's with a passion. You can just tell by their comments above. I personally love it!!! Mind me asking how old you gentlement are? I believe that the younger crowd tends to love and the older crowd hates it. Hell, if I was 30 years old, I would highly doubt that I would get a Bov. But I'm not 30 and I definitely will get one!!!

I did start out saying that people do hate Bov's with a passion, However, I justified my statement by also commenting that the younger crowd loves it.
You also mentioned aboved that csnoah might like the sound of looking cheap, yet now you claim that you will be running one. Do you like the sound of looking cheap?

That's why it had a smiley thing with its eyes being rolled. I guess sarcasm is hard to convey in text , but I just thought it was funny how he said "it will make you look cheap" when its a sound. I have probably posted in 6,000 other BOV threads on here so most people know where I stand on this. BTW, I have a tial bov on my current car also.

I have to agree with this statement, it is definitely an age thing.

The only reason to have one that makes all kind of noise is to let others know you have a turbo under the hood. Since guys can not pull down thier pants in public and show off how potent they are they the BOV is the next best thing

just because it sounds like that doent mean is ricey like for example mazda rx7 toyota supra and nizzan 300 zx sound like that. they are japanese cars but the arent considered ricey. its just the sound of turbo cars.
