I just swapped it out and put it in the hole and once it seemed secure I moved on to the next. Can you confirm that the outer ring will be more dim compared to the inner ones? Also is there a certain position by from installing the Lux H8 180 where it shines more directly onto the "optic cable"? I am asking is there any difference by rotating the unit slightly then installing it so the LED can shine directly on the optic or no matter how you put it in it will yield the same results due to how it locks in?
If locked in correctly/securely the LED will line up with the optics.

There is only 1 way that these can be installed due to the 3 tabs being different sizes. Once in place it will twist a bit and be snug in place from there.

The outer rings will always be a bit dimmer due the physical design of the headlight, but if you step back from the car at least 30 feet they will appear much more even.

LUX V7 in european LCI (ZKW brand) halogen headlights.
Big cheers to LUX for great service, i didn't read as much as i should have about the bulbs, and ordered the wrong type, they let me send them back and sent me the correct pair free of charge. They light up both rings perfectly, with no blind spots like the old bulbs, and are much, much brighter. 100% recommend these to anyone thinking of upgrading

Wanted to say I installed my V3s in my halogen LCI car last night, and I'm very pleased with the results.

I may look for a whiter headlight bulb to match the rings. Any suggestions?

many people go with the MTEC 4350k or Philips 4300k halogen bulbs as a replacement. They are a good color match for the LUX E90 LCI Halogen V3

RGB would not be legal so we will not make those. Only white and amber are legal for the front of the cars and that is what we offer.

I had MTEC v4 for many years. I just switched to Lux v7. They are definitely brighter than MTEC v4.

From what I can understand, the Lux v6 & MTECH v4 are equal in terms of brightness.

I have seen several pictures of comparisons of bulbs in the same car where the right bulb was a Lux v6 & the left bulb was an MTECH v4 for example. In those test cases, there was no visible difference that I could tell.

However, when I was able to compare the Lux v7 vs the MTECH v4, the Lux v7 was clearly brighter no question about it.

Weisslicht

My Weisslicht angel eyes have started to blink intermittently. Is this the typical failure mode for the bulbs, or, could I have an electrical issue ?

I'm getting the bulb icon light in the instrument panel, also intermittent.

Lux from ECS Tuning is my probable replacement choice. Just want to make sure this is a bulb issue and not something else in the circuit.

Thanks,

Cliff

LUX V8 for the win

LUX Version 8's are nice.

One of my OEM bulbs went out on my trusty ol' 2006 E91. I replaced both sides with LUX E90 V8's. Work time was less than thirty minutes, no codes and the warning light went right out. Sorry these pictures aren't great; hopefully you can see the outer ring is the same brightness as the inner one.

Cheers!

What are the best Angel Eye for E92 to light both rings most equally?
Brightness does not matter too much for me so prefer regular, not too bright LEDs. Any recommendations?

We have designed our to focus as much light as possible into the outer rings to help make them as even as possible. Please take a look at the link on our signature for information about the LUX H8 lights we offer. Thank you

the color of the E90 and E92 angel eyes is the same, they both use halogen bulbs that are 2700k in color.
