apex wide tire set up

So after months of debating between 18s and 19s i think i've finally decided that i drive too reckless and the roads are too bad to have 19s with skinny tires so i will be going with 18s. So i figured since im going with 18s i might as well go for all out performance and get some lightweight wheels with wide tires that can be used as a dd, for spirited driving and on the track if i ever go. and also look good

this led me to apex. now i understand the ec7 are better fitment wise but i just dont like how they look. i think the arc-8s look much better so i'm trying to make those work fitment wise. I've done some research and just wanna know what ur guys opinions are and if it will fit

2009 335i e92
Will install at the same time: tck coilovers with camber plates, m3 front control arms
rest of suspension is stock

i will be buying michelin pss tires
i have no problem with rolling my fendors

Front: i'm thinking 18x9 et 42 and a 12mm spacer to push it to et 30.

I am trying to decide between a 245/40/18 or 255/35/18. It seems the 245/40 will fit on the 18x8.5 rim as well so i guess i should probably get the 8.5 inch rim if i go with 245/40 up to avoid spacers? I'd rather go for the wider tire but am not sure how well it will fit like how much camber etc. what do u guys think? Also i figured the 245/40 would provide more protection from potholes and stuff

Rear: 18x9.5 et 35 with a 275/35/18 tire. Can i go wider? 285/35/18? can i add spacers? for more flush look?

Really just need help deciding what to do with the front. back is cool with either 275 or 285 but if i can do 285s i would rather do that. Let me know what u guys think. lol maybe im just lit and this is stupid. any advice or commentary is appreciated

I currently have the Apex ARC-8's on my car and I love them. I am running 18x8.5 ET38 front and 18x9.5 ET35 rear. I also have a 15mm spacer in the front and 5mm in the rear. These are wrapped in Michelin PSS 235/265. I have my rears slightly rolled and I am still rubbing, but only on large dips.

I'm sure if you rolled your rears more than me you would be fine at ET35 with 275 tires. I would also suggest you go 9.5 up front and put a 245 on there. The reason is because the concavity on the 9.5 is beautiful. I think you just need a 5mm spacer to clear the strut.

If you have any questions you can always call Apex. Great customer service and knowledgeable with any fitment questions.

Your fronts sound ok with 245/40 and the spacer. To go wider you need to check with people that know more about the fitment with the tck coilovers. The rears I did a lot of research before buying my 285/40-18 et 43. If you have a pre-lci the et 35 will be flush with 275's or 285's with a fender roll. If your car is a lci, then 275's will be very tight even with a roll.

His car is a e92. 275/35 18 should be fine with most tires, unless the sidewall is thicker than usual. I have been thinking about the similar setup as well, apex ec-7, front 255/35 on 9 et31 18, rear 275/35 on 9.5 et35 18.

ok thanks guys so a 275/35/18 michelin pss in the back seems to the best choice.

For the front do you guys think the 255/35/18 will work out without too much camber?

does a 35 series seem a lil small for the front as a dd?
