I know this is an old thread, but haven't seen many videos of N55 with catless downpipe and muffler delete so thought I would share.

That is definitely an N54 for sure. N55 where all LCI and F models. And they sound horrible to me. N55 sounds like a full grown man and thw 54 like a prepubescent teen.

You've got PE mod on yours right? It sounds nice.

Thanks. I believe it was your 9 min. youtube video that made it music to my ears!
I kept the perforated connecting pipes, replaced main chamber pipes and kept all of the packing and removed the resonator from in the driver side muffler. I like the semi-semi truck acoustics at low rpm.

I have a muffler delete on my 2011 n55 and have very minimal drone. I was very skeptical about doing the muffler delete because of everyones complaints about drone. i only get drone at around 1500 rpm to 2500rpm in second gear. Besides that, the car sounds amazing

Yeah thats the normal drone range for our cars.

Do you have catless downpipe as well?

Im trying to work out how us muffler delete guys can kill the drone at the moment.

I saw in another post you had J-pipes installed on your muffler delete, did that not kill the drone enough? I'm asking because I'm considering doing the same thing to my muffler delete.

J Pipes helped but I want more of it gone, Id say 70% of the drone was removed.

Im just trying to find if there is cheap way to have drone free straight pipes / muffler delete.
