No codes for me when I was stock or tuned. Maybe being catless makes turbos louder. ThereÂ’s definitely a turbo noise I can hear while driving. I prefer the cover on personally but I can see why some ppl want to hear the blow off valve sound. ItÂ’s subtle but itÂ’s there.

I'm catless, not sure if that makes a difference but I did get nice turbo whistle with the AFE. I just didn't like the intake, and my car ran like garbage because I couldn't get the clamps to do their job.

By the way, for anyone wondering. I've had this installed for over a month now. The lean AFR code is gone and has not come back. The car is driving great. No more rough start and idle, lurching, etc. And the sound is pretty cool. This intake is well worth it in my opinion, great quality and fitment. Was pretty easy to install too.

I'm glad you like it as much as I like mine. this is an intake that doesn't get talked about that much but is a good system.

Did you have to wrap the intake with fiberglass like Xalithar? I am looking into getting one of these along with turbo inlet as well.

I did not wrap mine. I would suggest doing the turbo outlet at the same time since you are doing the inlet, since you will have everything taken apart anyway. Can be a little tricky, but just be patient and make sure it seats well. Still no codes and the car is still running well.

Thanks for the reply! And for the VRSF inlet, did you have to modify it so that you can put the screw into the engine block? I have seen people on youtube struggling in that particular part, either Pure's inlet or VRSF inlet both having the same problem.

I did not have to modify mine. I struggled with it, and was just about to grab my cutting tool, but tried one more time and got it to sit nicely.

I used a lot of silicon grease. It helped.

Sorry for the late response. I did mine because i wanted the coolest air possible going into the turbo. It is also why i went with intake scoops and riveting the intake to the filter box. With the wrap it is going past the law of diminishing returns but it was cheap and easy to do and it looks cool to me. For the VRSF inlet i had to modify mine due to a big bolt blocking the mounting tab. When it came to actually installing i used a little vaseline to help slip it in.

Was up so I added a charge pipe to my n55 engine . Now I’m going to get an inlet and outlet pipe . Looking to get a intercooler also but I look into the description and it said it comes with a Lower charge pipe . So do I still need to order one of those pipes or naw . Since it comes with in the intercooler . Or this just a whole different pipe ? Please lmk

Which intercooler are you getting? The one from VRSF comes with couplers and lower charge pipe so you should be good. You are not replacing the turbo inlet and outlet? Might be a good idea to do those at the same time since they can be a pain and since you will have everything apart. This job took me a long time fyi, all day, but it was one of the first mods on my car so I was learning, but still, give yourself plenty of time and don't rush.

edit: BTW nice car
