NFRM Coding Read Error

This is driving me bazerk. I cannot read my NFRM module. 2010 335d. I was able to code this car for other things like disable seat belt dong, etc. I don't understand why I can't read the NFRM. I tried every combination of profiles and loaded the "CAS" and also tried "FRM" and NFRM in the first step, nothing changes. Won't read the NFRM in the second step when you choose ECU

Ideas?

This is something I pulled out of INPA, not sure it helps. It looks like the FRMII

I never can understand this crazy thing. So when I read it the trc file date stamp updates right. I change the values according to this thread related to the fog lights.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=969840

And then I coded it to the car. It give a similar error. I delete file and read it again and the values stick like it wrote to the car. It just doesn't "initialize" or something because the fogs still cycle off. Whatever that error is causes a hault in the sequence I guess. Is there a way to manually initialize the module?

I've coded things like this before on this car where it doesn't seem to "finish" it giving an error, but it did actually write the file. I don't know.

Try updating your SP Daten files with the BMW Coding Tool.
Are you sure that your Standard Tools are installed right ?

When coding the FRM or just reading it out, I would hook up a Voltage Stabilizer or a good Battery Loading Device.

You're spot on.

As an update, I updated my DATEN to v69 or whatever latest one that is out; then used BMW coding tool to properly update the folders. Retried everything and it worked flawlessly. I also had 16ms latency for some reason on my surface tablet, set it back to 1. I think the latency caused some of my periodic intermittent comms timeouts on the car.

Thx!

I upgraded to frm2 module but now when I open inpa it can't read it.
I'm trying to initialize my windows since they go back down (halfway) when trying to close them.
I've tried doing it manually but I can't seem to figure it out. That's why I want to use inpa but can't read frm module now

The FRM seems to be a tricky module as I can not read mine in INPA either (I do have an FRM3 though). Try using google translator on your phone to translate the text and try and read it through Tool32. If you are getting a status there it may be something in INPA.

I’m getting this exact same error when trying to read my NFRM how exactly did you fix this? I’ve read and searched but I’m pretty green and dumb!

Thanks.
