Thermostat wiring an N54 for SPAL fan

Searched but did not find ... unskilled driveway jackstand hack
mechanic speaking:

Have installed new CSF radiator, new OCHG, and OFHG;
have an 18" SPAL fan waiting to go in too, but the wiring
relay kit includes 185F thermostat that's way too big and
has a single lead...unlike the OEM (see pix - SPAL on Left,
BMW OEM on Right). Can I use just one of the 2
OEM thermostat's leads, if so which one; or is the SPAL fan
just not going to work in the N54?

Thanks for any advice, PLEASE,& THANK YOU!!
-Gus

What makes you think this is better than the stock fan

With the driver's side auxiliary radiator (from BMW power pack), the fan upgrade 600 to 850W is min ~$700. And the CSF is thicker. Mostly wanting to save $. Probably performance on SPAL is inferior but main concern is at track speeds where it doesn't matter.

Anyone able to answer the wiring question?

Think I figured this out. Autometer makes a kit to insert the SPAL kit's sending 3/8" NPT nipple into the lower radiator hose; 'have to leave the OEM sensor in the head for trim, timing, and other ECU engine issues before warms up.
