Runflat detector means you have a flat or under inflated tyre so check your pressures. Need to get to the dealer regarding your traction control problem.

Traction control comes on when the trye warning comes on, along with hill start stuff and a load of others that are disabled when it thinks there may be a flat. (had a spurious tyre pressure warning on a loan car and the dash was like a christmas tree for a minute).
So maybe no traction control prob, only the tyre pressure stuff causing it to shut down certain functions.

When my wheel bearing went I had all sorts of orange lights coming on, some flicking to red and back to orange...
Its basically to tell you something is not right and one of the sensors is not working.. in my case the bearing caused the ABS, DTC, ESP, Cruise to all go nuts... Any red lights require immediate attention, so i called out Assist and they just sent me to the dealer for warrranty work. |

Hi,
I had this error this summer. Not a massive problem, but annoying. The DSC, DBC, runflat sensors and cruise control all stop working and a Yellow excalamation comes on with every engine start. You just have to be careful that you don't floor it in the wet as the wheels will spin with no DSC. More irritating was the lack of cruise control for 2000 miles. Take it to the dealer. They fixed it under warranty. The fault was in the steering column I believe and it took them 3+ hrs to fix as it's "fiddly" to access. Simon |

When I clouted my back wheel into a kerb at high speed such that I took a chunk out of the wheel and changed the suspension settings completely, both the Tyre Pressure Warning and DTC systems lights came on, with various error messages saying the systems had detected a malfunction (tyres didn't deflate).
Approximately £2K worth of suspension arms, wheels, tyres, etc and the lights were out again....... |

the wheel is good i particlarly like the engine temperature gauge which the 335d doesnt have and which seems ridiculous on such a car! (petrol cars with the wheel also get an oil temp gauge) the gear change lights are useful apart from the prob outlined above all the other progams arent really usable on the road except the g force if you are tracking the car then i suppose they are useful is it worth having? its debatable there are lots of pictures and videos of the wheels if you type in "bmw performance steering wheel" on google hope this is of use to you
