No Dog Leg for you. Not even A. It's been a while since I've seen cars go off in Riverside. The CR should be fun.

We may not cone off that section. When you look at the track, the Dog Leg is so far Off line from the Bus Stop, that you don't even realize its there when driving the Bus Stop.

word. But, thats only cause I never ever once looked in that direction. May be an issue for the new-to-buttonwillows.

it'd be stupid to cone it. Then someone would need to run out there and herd cones 5 times a day.

I'm leaving San Diego Friday at noon to head up to Buttonwillow. I really prefer to get under cars when I tech them, and I really don't want to do that in the parking lot at the Motel 6 on Friday night.

I hear you, but as you know I have fractured my left foot and it's still does not feel strong enough to drive my car... I will be picking up a rental Friday night and driving straight up...

See you guys there. Can't wait to get back in the saddle.

The bug bit me and I hit a bunch of the tracks on the east coast the last two seasons - Summit Point (all three circuits), Thunderbolt, VIR, Road Atlanta, Monticello, Watkins Glen. Looking forward to a good season this fall out in California - Buttonwillow, Infineon and Willow Springs.

As the name would imply, I found this video very instructional:

Yeah, I know. Didn't they do Laguna in January 2009? I figure I will hit those two in the winter? season. I tell myself that hitting these five tracks will fulfill me and I can take a break from it, but in my experience it doesn't work that way!

If you get a chance to drive Reno-Fernley, take it. It's 4+ miles in the longest configuration with great elevation changes, and a very challenging set of corners. Entering the esses at 120+ is always exciting too.

I beg to differ..that track is one weird bird. The esses are cooll..I will give you that...Also, the pavement is big time rough on tires...I ruined my runflats there when I first bought my 335...with only like 1,000 miles on the car. Its really weird in that back section before you come out on the main straight....not much thought went into making that nice. It is the opposite of Laguna to me...where everything is smooth....and layed out nicely.

I went there for two 2-day events..but I probably will not go back. Oh, and going over I70 into Nevada..I got a rock chip on my windshield..and my car was only 3-4 weeks old. Ugh.

Now, Miller Motorsports is different. I would do that one again.

My only complain is that there are some rough sections on the track. I never had any tire issues when I went, although I was running r-comps. I have to admit, I too got a rock chip on my windshield on the way home from that track, and it was the original one too. I found the track to have lots of different types of corners/sections which made it interesting.
