It's on the actual muffler system under the trunk. You will see a valve with a vacuum line running to it. That is the "Exhaust valve".

I would say about 16 hours. It was a nightmare and I would not recommend this to most backyard mechanics.
I used the VRSF kit and the instructions were atrocious.

Thanks. When my wife and I got married we did an addition on my house. She got everything she wanted, and my only ask was that I could build a nice garage under the addition.

Look up "Golf Tee mod". I think that is what it was originally called.

Also +1 on the ARC 8's. I don't track my car and daily drive it, but they are a great looking light wheel that set everything off.

And this is the product (From Amazon) that I used.

I actually tried a couple of different brands because the first two were disappointing. They were hard, super thin, and not very flexible. That resulted in the trim not holding in place after a couple of hours.

However, this brand was the correct thickness and very maleable. It's been installed for weeks now and has sat out in extreme heat and is still exactly where I installed - no need to push it back in or use double sided tape like the first brand would have required.

Also, just one package was necessary to do the dash trim and all four doors.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I lost the front lip before I could do a set of proper photos. I'm kicking the crap out of myself for not just having it professionally installed. I love this look and it's more unique than what I am doing now. But oh well, maybe again in the future.

Dropped the car off at the body shop yesterday afternoon. Got a little too aggressive with a polisher and got in to the paint through the clear. Expensive lesson. Sadly, I'm embarrassed to say that I used to detail cars on the side. Just glad that it happened to mine rather than a clients car. $350 to sand, repaint and re-clear the entire trunk for a spot about 2.5" in diameter. Frustrating to say the least, but honestly at that price I couldn't do it myself for cheaper. My time alone would cost more, not to mention material, paint, etc.

No new mods, just enjoying some recent work (m3 sway, full oem suspension refresh, brass clutch bushings).

Sunday night drives through nyc make the crazy costs worth it sometimes.

As specified by another member, you can only do this on a 335, not a 328. If you want some more noise from your exhaust I'd recommend the magnaflow #12148 muffler. Also, as far as your chassis code goes theres e90 (sedan) e91(wagon) e92 (coupe) and e93 (convertible).

I'm loving it so far. I still use my BMW Bluetooth for sound and just use the tablet part for Waze, JB4 and backup camera. Definitely worth it imo.

Yep its a 77. My dad and I did a "poor mans" Icon derelict build. Everything underneath is new, the interior is original, we added bluetooth, upgraded A/C, but kept the patina.
