Question MEVD17 DME ECU repair

So I had a DME fail. replaced it and had it cloned and all is great.

Quite a mess of testing and replacing JBE, main fuse distribution box, half dozen relays, CAS, and even EKPS. Someone needs to make an N55 intake manifold block off plate for testing the DME when it's being diagnosed and not having to take off and install the intake manifold. maybe some rich 3D printer lottery winner will do this.

I have a DME "spare" now that when it gets warm will cut out the ignition and injectors randomly.

It seem ridiculous that a capacitor or IC driver has ruined a $2000 piece of $50 PCB

So has anyone ever had there Bosch MED17.x DME repaired?
Who repairs them? Bosch US won't do it anymore, but Bosch Germany does, but Bosch Germany cant ship to the US thanks to US laws.

There are many scam places online, but talking to them, they are just rip offs and will try to swap them for junkyard garbage and clone them. They are just hoping the other DME lasts through the absurd 1 year warranty.
