Tank Leakage Diagnostic Module (DM-TL) Malfunction

Hi all,

I have a 335i xDrive 2009, 35,000KM only.

I recently got a check engine light. I read the codes and got the following error information.

Got 3 errors:
  1. P144B 0x2A22
  2. P1434 0x2B3A
  3. P1449 0x2B3A

DETAILS:

For those speaking german, here's a link to the original scanner output text file.

That fault code refers to the fuel tank evaporative control system, which includes the carbon canister, plumbing for condensing fuel vapors, the purge solenoid valve, and the leak detection unit [DMTL] which pressurizes the fuel tank and evaporative system to monitor system leaks. The DMTL is mounted directly to the activated carbon canister, which is located underneath the vehicle.

I have found those possible solutions, I would like your opinions, if you agree or not, and what should I do.
  1. Replace leak diagnostic pump (Bosch)
  2. New Gas Cap

Do you think the fuel consumption is affected by these errors ?

Any help or advices appreciated in regards to my next actions.

Here's a link to my blog post.

Thanks guys!
