e92 Build Thread
Current mods/maintenance - Gloss Black Kidney grills - Smoked LED side indicators - MHD Stage 1+ Tune - AFe intake - VRSF 7" FMIC - 3" VRSF Catless Downpipes - RB Silicone Turbo Outlets (deleted, went back to modified stock outlets) - RGB Angel Eyes - Gloss black front bumper grill inserts - Gloss black exhaust tips - New Plugs - New Coil packs - Adjustable Koni Yellow Shocks - H&R springs (went back to MSport springs) - Upgraded rear swaybar (2" I think) - Replaced all rear suspension bushes - Painted brake callipers - Replaced Oil Filter Housing Gaskets - Replaced front coolant hose - Oil Change - Gloss Black Wheels - PE Mod to std Exhaust - New diverter valves - New boost solenoids - Replaced vacuum hoses - Akebono Brake Pads - Index 11 Injectors - XTreme twin plate clutch - New Engine mounts and Gearbox Mounts - Dynamic Autowerks TD04 Turbos - Custom tune by T1M I've been drooling over the e92 335's for a while and have finally taken the plunge and put a deposit on one Upgrading from my E36 M3 but might leave my Avatar just to respect the previous ride It's an '08 6MT with M Sport package, Silver (sorry Sprocket and 335GC not space grey...) I'll be picking it up in 1.5 weeks, just waiting for the money to arrive... Have been scanning the forums for a while and will be looking at an FMIC, DCI and an MHD flash tune to get me started. Have already ordered the KDAN cable from one stop electronics...might be getting itchy feet already Currently ordering plugs, coil packs and possibly injectors just to make sure it's spick and span before the modding starts....pretty sure I won't be modding at the pace that Sprocket and 335GC seem to be Anyone know of where I might be able to get the walnut blasting done in Canberra?? Here's a couple of pics from the car sales add, seriously looking forward to picking it up and getting started, I hope I got it right, I added them as attachments... Nice, I didn't even notice that, will have to check that out as soon as I get my hands on it
Have spent some time reading Sockets thread, don't have the funds to move that fast, but really like the outcome he's generated Only bad thing is how much it makes you want to do when you read it... M3 front bar...and upgraded exhaust are front runners after the initial list above |

If I can give you one piece of advice, take lots of pics when you first get your car, I didn't and regret it to this day Car looks awesome and being a manual msport will be awesome to drive too (very jellies Hops) Last edited by Socket; 09-14-2016 at 07:53 AM.. |

Thanks Socket - can't imagine you being Jelly with the ride you've put together, one of the nicest things I've seen for a while
Had the M3 for four years, it wasn't a great base, so I've put plenty into it to make it solid, including a rear subframe last weekend, so now someone's getting a really nice mechanical package.....sad to see it go but I wanted something more modern and couldn't afford the e90 M3 I love the E92 shape and mech package so got pretty excited, and once I started checking out the tuning options I was hooked. Thanks for your advice, yes will definitely do that. |

Congrats Hoper!
I was looking at this car when I bought mine last month, but the dude was pretty hard to get a hold of. Happy to see this rare MT go to a seemingly good home!!! Welcome |

VIN checker says M Sport Package, M Leather Steering Wheel, M Aerodynamics Package, M Sport Suspension But I don't see anything about an exhaust, I also don't see anything about the M Performance package that was advertised, but I wasn't too worried about that It also says hot climate version, assuming all Aus delivered cars get this? and its not a bigger FMIC or anything as juicy as that... Signed the loan paperwork last night, looking good for pickup next weekend |

Congrats mate. Silver looks great on these cars. I am currently looking for an e36 m3 myself. That wait certainly isn't fun. As i can see from the pics, exhaust seems like stock and these cars did not come with the performance exhaust as standard. Underneath the exhaust if you come across any bmw performance labels, you are lucky being a manual, yours is a rare find. Definitely change your battery asap before it forces your alternator to overwork.

Welcome mate fellow canberran here.
If you need a new battery I picked a Bosch s5 up in canberra for 260. Also pm me if you want the name of an indy who I *think* can do walnut blasting

The BMW PE is an option. Just like the PPK is an option (Power Performance Kit) To check if you have the PE, look at the two pipes behind your muffler that head towards the front of the car, the PE is actually just the muffler section and to install it, the stock muffler is cut off arbitrary these two pipes, so you would see exhaust clamps if the PE was installed. OP congrats on the new car, I remember the wait for mine was unbearable hah. |

Thanks EB I'll stick my head under the car before ordering a new exhaust, but sounds like its unlikely it has the perf exhaust
Not so sure about the PPK, it wasn't delivered with it but the seller seems to think it has it, then again I'm planning changes so I'm not too concerned |

Does not have the PPK. You would have a sticker on the intake duct that says Performance Power Kit and PPK also has upgraded fan and aux radiator, neither of which is in the pictures.
