Is there a specific year to look for? Or a part number you can recommend? I have a 2009 335xi and might need to replace my clutch soon.

Same clutches that fit the 335i fit the Xi.

Only difference in years is the flywheel. If you're just replacing the clutch it won't matter.

I love my spec stage 2+ clutch with a new oem dual mass flywheel. It really drives like stock. I have full bolt ones with inlets and pure stage 2 dd turbos running 50% E85 running 20 psi of boost and its a super fast. Never had it dynoed but it’s got to be over 500whp for sure. I’m probably at the limits of the stock dmfw.

Good to see a high HP setup still with DMFW and Ok.

It's about ~500HP but it's not an exact figure as it depends on how worn your DMFW is. As it's used and aged it becomes imbalanced.

You'll know the limit when you've been plagued by chronic misfires and limp mode.

I'm in that chronic misfire club!
Not a scientific data, but my DMFW lasted 100k miles with stock power plus 30k miles tuned before misfires started slowly to creep-in. Add another 40k miles and doing a proper WOT to over 7k RPM in 3rd gear is now impossible, but at 160k my car did just fine on DYNO.
Bottom line is, at first it's just an occasional missfire, but gradually it becomes more frequent. It caused me a lot of scratching head and hunting ghosts, before I found my culprit.

Car still drives great with 177k miles on stock DMFW and 500lbft if I shift at around 6k RPM. Next week I say hellow to my new twin disc and SMFW, together with raised idle RPM and potentially new kinds of noises. Price I'm willing to pay for moar powa

they say 500whp is the limit. But i personally never have an issues with misfires with the oem flywheel but I installed a new oem flywheel when i installed my spec stage 2+ clutch about 10k miles ago. I never dynoed my car but i think it should be somewhere around the 500whp level. The car has 0 traction in the first 2 gears. I also own a 600whp s2000 and this car really is not much slower from my butt dyno.

Damn so i could of gotten a new dmfw with my spec stage 3+ instead of a lwfw smh. I'm fbo inlet outlets and will probably do a custom tune soon on e50. I'm xi so probably won't go over 450 awhp
