Not sure about the 320 but here in the US there are two subs under the seats. If you look under the seat they are easy to spot.

Ok, are they easy to change to new ones. The sound is distorting with the system I have. I though that changing the speakers would make it sound better.
Could I put active subs under the seats instead of the standard ones? Is it hard to switch without removing the seats? Thanks Claus |

My 320i in Hong Kong also had the standard 6 speakers system.
Sounded really bad initailly. For the sub-woofer under your seats, it is difficult to change but they are indeed not that bad. What you need to do is to change the front speakers on the doors and the rear speakers on the shelf first. The distortion were come from these speakers in my case. The are all 4" full range Philips speakers and I have changed them all to DLS 424 coaxial speakers and it make a big big difference already. So I am now satisfied and I will retain the original sub-woofers under the seats. Easy to do the rear installation, I did it myself. If you know how to remove the door internal cover, you can change the front speakers easily, but I let this job done by a Hi-Fi workshop locally as I don't know how to remove the door cover. Hope this information helps!! |

There are 2 tweeters in the front door, 2 mids in the front doors, 2 subwoofers under the seats, 2 mids in the rear doors, and 2 mids in the rear deck.
10 speakers all in all.

Logic 7 Amp Specs??
I too am looking for the amp specs. I have a 10" sub and amp in the trunk of my '93 320i, and the bass sound is better then the logic 7 bass sound. I would like to take that sub and amp and throw it into my new 325i, but would like to know if it can be connected to the original amp. Any ideas out there?
