Hey guys, I've been getting a recurring 2DA2/2C58 code and normally it's just a simple code clear and you're good for another 2 weeks or so, but today just idling for 20 seconds immediately throws a CEL. My first guess since this is timing related is that the VANOS solenoids have finally gone bad, (buddy of mine w/ N54 is convinced). I'm not too sure but I figure if I'm fixing timing issues starting with the solenoids is not a bad route. I would go with OEM parts but they're $269/EA which is absurd. I've heard people have good luck with the Gates solenoids but I'd figure I'd ask you guys.

Specs:
2013 335i E93. JB4+MHD BEF. BMS Intercooler, Intake, Catch Can. NGK 2step colder spark plugs, VRSF downpipes and street exhaust, Walbro 450 lpfp.
