Correct me if I'm wrong, but by installing a telematic combox, you do not get any of the telematic functions? Because you will need BMW to transfer the VIN to the new combocx which I believe they dont do and secondly you need an active subscription.
So why install the extra wiring for telematics? Just wire the pics needed for the media functions. At least they way there is less wiring involved and less chance that you have wired the combox incorrectly. |

Tried connecting another combox still didn't resolve the issue.
Combox was getting power (when I connected combox connector MOST port lit up red). I even tried just running it barebone (no aux mic etc) with just power+ground and CAS wake up. Pins:1,2,14,& 15 still didn't work. NCS & INPA doesn't read module. The only thing I did not get was a MOST terminator, I instead used my old module to complete the MOST loop. I wasn't getting any errors in the GW. I reversed the wiring so its back to stock and everything works fine. Not too sure what my issue is might purchase a harness. |

Hi mate
Sounds like you are at the point I have been many times where I'd nearly given up. I know how you feel. I would keep trying though. You have to be missing something start from scratch. Wire only power, ground and connect most. Change VO. Switch off car, lock it up and walk away 15 mins. Jump in, read VO and see if it's changed. Then try and read the cmedia or media module... you'll know if the most loop isn't terminated when your cic says no audio available( at least that's what mine did)

Dude, sounds like your combox has power since you saw the most light up on the combox. Have you told the car you put a combox in? The VO must be aware of the hardware installed and you must set it up accordingly and then code the car. Combox talks to other modules to do its job. Those other modules must be aware there is a combox to exchange data. What are your VO options in the 600's?
