Noir your build was why I keep checking in on the n52 section! A fully built block and head from VAC is going to cost a ton and your HP output is going to be low given the money invested. I say sell it, as much as I like to see other people throw money into projects, you are better off moving on or dropping a junk yard engine in and #sendit

VAC head will be like 3k probably 7-10k for a fully built motor assembled and shipped with tax etc.

If you like the platform/chassis you would be better off dropping 10k into a S65 or N54 hell even the m57.

Dude I'm in the exact same situation. I made a terrible decision though, and bought an M3. Might as well live a little, right?

I made 298whp/250wtq with the supercharger/110mm pulley on the initial remote tune from StageFP. It's a little lower than I was hoping for, but that just means I have a little more work to do. AFR trails off near the top of the RPM range and power/torque gets a little choppy above 6k.

Not to mention the belt slips from time to time on cold starts. Anybody else ever experience that?

That's with the n54 IM? I can't say I've had my belt slipping on cold start. I generally gave the car a minute to warm up and all that. I'm sure if you run an e40 mix you'd creep over the 300whp threshold... Your car looks sick, by the way. :,) I really dig the subtle wing. It's nice!

That's with the 3-stage. Would the N54 manifold have more top end? I'll probably replace the belt itself. It doesn't happen every time and it seems to happen randomly within the first mile of driving when it does happen.

Thanks, I appreciate it! It gives me E36 vibes

Glad to see things are progressing! Are you on an E blend tune yet? I noticed quite a bit more towards the top but think i was still maxing out the injectors near 330 awhp. I did get an occasional belt chirp but it was rare and I just lived with it. Wasn't sure if that was a part of SC life.

That's with the s65 injectors, too???
Were you able to run full e85 or did you need to upgrade the pump? I've seen conflicting comparisons... I wonder if that belt chirp is because of how they angled the pulley on the inside to match the serpentine. Minutes2Midnight you will have more top end since the n54 IM doesn't die off after 6800 RPMs like the 3IM. You will lose some torque if I'm not mistaken. I wasn't too worried since I swapped to the 3.91 gears... so if Bob added the redline extension.... :,) would be awesome.

Yes, they stretch. And I change it every year, they also switched to a continental belt at ESS now. I can dig it up, and got specs/type from AJ. Nice power man, congrats!

Also make sure your tensioner is fresh... and new belt is shorter. Mine slipped to when cold during turn, after about a year of use. But on continental now and better, 10 min job.

Thank you, my friend! Just picked up the last one they had! I just did the tensioner and idler pulley last week so fingers crossed this will fix the slip.

I'll have to see about getting the tune for E40, I haven't looked into it yet! I know nobody around me offers E85 sadly

Make sure that length is good for the 110mm pulley and not the 115 or it won't fit, it'll be too loose

Good call. Interestingly, the conti belt is 2585mm and the one I'm running right now is
2601mm. I'm going to check the other belt you gave me when I get home. If I put on the bigger one, I'm gonna seriously kick myself.
